Marcie Rose Brewer (Cherokee) is a multi-media artist whose work encompasses lens-based media, sculpture, and installation. Her research focuses on Cherokee culture, artistic traditions, and language, which she embodies in her practice. Rooted in the continuity of tradition and fluidity of change, through her interdisciplinary practice she creates visual knowledge using packaging materials woven with Cherokee artistic techniques. She earned an MFA in Art Studio from the University of New Mexico, and her work is held in private and public collections.
